General, cosmetic & denture dental treatments in Caloundra
Our aim is to help improve the look of your teeth while maintaining good oral hygiene. At our Caloundra practice, we have the facilities to look after general, cosmetic, prosthodontic (artificial tooth replacement), root canal therapy and surgical wisdom tooth extraction.
For surgical procedures, we have onsite happy gas (nitrous oxide sedation) facilities. This helps us to provide complicated treatments, such as oral rehabilitation, without the need for external referrals.

Regular visits to our dentists can assist with maintaining the overall health of your teeth and gums. We recommend a check-up with a clean and scale every 6 to 12 months. If we identify any issues, such as the need for fillings, we can do all general, cosmetic and restorative dentistry work at our Caloundra practice.
Are you prone to grinding your teeth in your sleep? Talk to our dentists about having a night splint made. Also known as a night guard, night splints help to prevent clenching and grinding of teeth during sleep. Prolonged pressure of this kind can wear down the enamel, potentially leading to bigger oral health problems.
Crowns & Bridges
A dental crown is a cap placed on an existing tooth to cover discoloured or worn teeth, prevent further cracking or to replace large fillings. They can also act as anchors for a bridge. Dental bridges can be used to replace a missing tooth with a ceramic substitute, held in place by 2 crowns on either side of the space. We may recommend crowns or bridges as part of helping restore your smile.
Dental implants are a non-removable artificial replacement for extracted teeth and tooth roots. The implant is placed into the jaw and fixed with a screw. This process can take up to 3 to 6 months for the implant to fuse to the jawbone. Once it has fused, our dentists will uncover the implant, attaching a post extension, which can then have a crown added.
Traditional dentures are removable prosthetic replacements for missing teeth. There is also an implant-supported denture, which is held in place with the same method as a dental crown. Over time, your dentures may require repairs or relines due to the natural changes of your gums and jaw.
At Golden Beach Dental Practice, we are able to assist with everything from constructing new full and partial dentures to making repairs and relines. Our denture services include:
Also known as root canal therapy, endodontic therapy is the process of removing infected tooth pulp, cleaning and disinfecting the inside of the tooth and sealing it with a rubber-like material. Root canal therapy is required when decay has spread deep within the tooth. It may also be required for cracks, chips or if an injury has damaged the tooth’s pulp. Our dentists can perform endodontic work to help relieve tooth pain.
An orthodontist uses knowledge in facial irregularities and tooth movements to help correct a misaligned jaw, crowded mouth or overbite. Treatments vary for children, teenagers and adults, all of which can be discussed with our orthodontics team.
According to the Australian Society of Orthodontists (ASO), more than a third of adults aren’t happy with their smile. If this is you, please speak to our orthodontics team to discuss treatments to help straighten your teeth.
Wisdom Teeth Extraction
Depending on the person, you may need 1, 2, 3 or all 4 of your wisdom teeth removed. Some patients choose to have them removed before they can potentially start causing pain. Others require extraction due to pain or pressure on the jaw or other teeth.
With onsite nitrous oxide sedation, we can perform surgical wisdom tooth extractions at our Golden Beach dental clinic.
